Martin Jacques: Understanding the rise of China

It is estimated that GDP in China will be as same as that in US by 2025 and will be double of that in US by 2050. (Also that in India will be as same as that in US by 2050)

Even Adam Smith mentioned in late 18c, "Chinese market is larger and more developed and more sophisticated than anything in Europe".

Out of 1.3 billion Chinese, 90% think that they came from Han's race. It's unbelievable that they do not think that they are multiracial country. This is because Chinese government focused on unity and tried to maintain Chinese civilization.

One more uniqueness of China is - "one civilization, many systems" like Hong Kong and Taiwan. In case of Germany, east Germany and west Germany were unified quickly and have used one system. But it did not happen in China.

East have a lot of knowledge about West. But West does not have much knowledge about East.
This is because West see East with arrogance and ignorance.
